Héléne Attia sings in her native languages: Hebrew, French, Italian and English, as well as in Spanish and Portuguese. From an early age, when she first picked up a guitar and discovered that she had been given the gift of song, Héléne has been pouring her heart into her music, singing for audiences with her rich sensuous voice. Add to Héléne's rich heritage her Jewish roots and you have some wonderful music. Héléne puts her guitar and vocal skills together with her percussionist partner, Owen Davis, to provide you with a wonderful evening of Jewish music. Héléne has been influenced by such singers as Sade, Nana Mouskouri, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro. Her own genre falls somewhere between Mediterranean jazz, Latin, world music and adult contemporary. Whereas she has a knack for offering her own rendition of popular artists songs, her real talent lies in her own songwriting. Héléne's lyrics spell out her life visions and struggles.
