Jim Adams’ rich, warm playing style is influenced by classic jazz guitarists Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass and by pianists Bill Evans & Kenny Barron.  Jim delights in classic jazz & bossa nova interpretations of timeless standards by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rodgers & Hart, Duke Ellington & Antonio Carlos Jobim.  Known in the wine country primarily for his solo guitar playing and his guitar/bass duos, Jim performs for many types of events and in many settings: weddings, dinner parties, birthdays, corporate and winery events.  Jim Adams’ Trio or Quartet is especially appropriate for larger events, receptions, and parties.  His groups’ subtle, easy style provides a lush background that will enhance your event but not overshadow conversation, fine food and wine.  Jim and his groups have performed at many venues including: Opus One, CIA, John Ash & Co, Atwood Ranch, Russian River Vineyards, Quivira Vineyards, Hanford Family Winery, Dry Creek Kitchen, Bodega Bay Lodge, Saddles at MacArthur Park, Trentadue Winery, The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and The Napa Valley Reserve.
