Twanna Turner talks...

For me, singing is as necessary as breathing.

Twanna Turner performs in a wide range of musical styles: rock, R & B, funk, and jazz.  In addition to being influenced by her father, Ike Turner, Twanna’s other vocal influences include Aretha Franklin, Cher, Pat Benatar, and Chaka Kahn.  Twanna has shared the stage with Ike Turner, Jerry Martini & Cynthia Robinson, Wilson Pickett, Steve Cropper, Elvin Bishop, Matt Guitar Murphy, Joe Louis Walker, and Otis Grand.  She has performed at Maxwell’s Caf? in Paris, The Battleship Intrepid, Redwood Run, Wavy Gravy’s Camp Winnarainbow, San Francisco Blues Festival, Vacaville’s Creekwalk Concert Series, Rio Vista Bass Festival, and the Blues and Brews Festival.  Her backup group, Blutopia, is an extraordinary band that will get everyone, young and old, out on the dance floor.  This is no cover band, this is the real stuff!
