Nicola Swinburne plays a bowl-back Neapolitan mandolin in traditional Classical and Italian styles.  She plays with a variety of other instruments that provide bass and harmony to the high voice of the mandolin and specializes in melodies that use the tremolo-style of playing.  She regularly plays with guitar and sometimes other mandolin in the duo or trio of Vieni sul Mar, harp in Serenata, lute or classical guitar in Noe’s Lutes, and accordian (plus various options of bass, and other mandolin, guitar and piano) in Zighi Baci.
