Kent Cohea did professional music studies at the State University of Iowa and the Berklee School of Music in Boston.  Over the years, Kent and his groups have had ongoing engagements at many famous venues: the Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Silver Nugget, the S.F. Hilton, the S.F. Fairmont, the S.F. Hyatt Regency, S.F. Park Hyatt, the St. Francis (in S.F.) and the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.  Kent can be on numerous recordings (including his own solo recordings) and has performed for some of the top jazz acts on the West Coast: Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, K.C. and Angel, Full Faith and Credit Big Band, Don Ellis Jazz Orchestra, Curtis Brothers Soul Review, as well as for the performers listed above.
